Q + A
Q + A

Q: Recommendations for "remote healing" of the Earth right now?

A: There are a great many facets of the Earth that could use healing service - virtually all of which tie back to humanity and collective consciousness - and even more methods and techniques for performing that service. Choose what you're drawn to. Healing can be performed remotely the same as it would be on-location since you're working with energy and thought forms.

From a shamanic perspective, some areas of healing work can be complicated but a couple general approaches could involve the following:

Intercession (prayer) - asking your "Guides and Allies" to assist in the healing of (chosen thing). Be specific in what you'd like them to help heal and clarify that it only be carried out if aligned for the best interest and higher good of all.

Energetic emanation - similar to a Reiki type transmission, you can emanate certain vibrational energies toward the designated thing you are healing. This can be done by "tuning in" to the aligned grids (templates), holding and maintaining that vibration and frequency, and streaming it. For example, every rose, just as every human, has a higher dimensional template from which it was grafted. By meditating and focusing on that higher template, embodying and transmitting it, you become something like a beacon and radio frequency that allows the person or thing can then dial into.

If doing this as a group you could all tune in and discuss what you perceive, and then share in the intercession and emanation. Use visualization and feelings to assist in this - there are no cut-and-dried rules to healing, and the limits are your own imagination.

Q: What is a mystic?

A: A mystic is someone who - like a shaman - has the ability to alter their consciousness at will to access nonphysical realms, astrally or psychically. This is done for the practical purpose of insight, wisdom, healing and more.

Q: What is the difference between Reiki energy healing and mystic or shamanic healing?

A: Reiki is based in a type of energy emanation, usually transmitted through the hands and with the aid of healing symbols, drawn or visualized. The idea is based in allowing one’s body to serve as a conduit for universal energies and higher consciousness to work through. The term “Reiki” has however broadened to describe such energy transmission in general, with or without the use of symbols.

While much of Reiki could be described as passive - using the vessel as a channel for general energies - mystical and shamanic healing can be considered more active and specific. Targeted release of unwanted thoughts, beliefs, traumas, emotional and toxic buildup is common, as well as the removal of various nonphysical entities, energies and energy systems. Activations and enhancements are usually specific, performed with intention and perception of nuanced energy systems and individual needs.

The most successful type of healing is the one most aligned to a person’s individual belief system. A shaman or mystic can (and often does) use Reiki, and a Reiki practitioner can use shamanic techniques, though to do so and qualify, extrasensory communication and a working knowledge of nonphysical energy systems is usually a required.

Q: What does Reiki Charged mean?

A: The idea of Reiki Charging has to do with the transmission of healing or nourishing subtle energies from a person into a thing - usually an object, beverage or food. Reiki stems from a specific school of energy transmission but since it’s become a generic term for “energy healing,” and since practitioner capability can vary, there’s a lack of controls and specification. In terms of a working definition, you could however say that
something is Reiki Charged when imbued with an elevated energy, vibration and/or frequency.
While the transmission of beneficial energies may be easily infused with things like food and water, the term Reiki Charged has been recently popularized as a marketing catchphrase for metaphysical supplies - namely candles and crystals. What does this actually mean? It depends.
Crystals for example can be powerhouse receivers and transmitters for healers and scientists alike (quartz is used in many advanced technologies, such as
5D optical storage disks that hold hundreds of terabytes of data). Someone could apply Reiki but if the crystal is not receiving (say it’s “hard drive" is full, it has some “bugs,” or for whatever reason access is denied), then any benefit will likely be marginal. If however the crystal is open or the practitioner knows how to unblock and imbue it with such energies, that crystal could be considered “charged,” and potentially much more effective than it would otherwise be.

Q: I haven’t done a shamanic session before. Is there anything I should know or do to prepare ahead of time?

A: Each shamanic practitioner is unique in the services they offer so it is usually best to check in for recommendations that will maximize results. That said, for most of these practitioners, sessions usually focus on a couple primary areas: guidance and healing.

Guidance may come in a practical form of counsel, though since extrasensory perception is usually required of shamanic practitioners, this often extends to direct insight and foresight attained through extrasensory perception. As such, some of the limits of clinical counseling may be removed, namely the need to over-explain and talk out all circumstances and details.

For example, in my own practice if a client is weighing a decision, I’ll sometimes ask them to formulate the options in their mind and then I’ll tap into the options
blind to offer raw intuitive insight on where those choices likely take them. For any intuitive, having less upfront information reduces the likelihood of mental bias (and it helps confirm the veracity of the insight).

If there are questions or a number of areas of inquiry, it may help to write them down them ahead of time and take notes during your session. This will help best utilize the time shared and ground the information.

It’s also crucial to understand that most (if not all) ailments, troubles and life challenges are not just there to be removed, which is why most mystic practitioners include guidance as central to their service. The integration of lessons and understandings are essential to healing and moving forward. If unaddressed then the problem - be it anything from a negative relationship pattern to a disease - will likely perpetuate or come back in another form.

For receiving energy healing the body and mind should be as clear as possible, abstaining from recreational substances at least 24-48 hours in advance, and minimizing or eliminating caffeine the day of. Let your healer know if you have any apprehensions, sensitivities or areas you’d like to dedicate special attention - most healers I’ve known are very professional and easy to communicate with.

Faith is not required to achieve healing or alignment though a measure of trust will assist in opening the energy field and allowing the body and consciousness to do what it needs. Some energy work can be felt deeply so plan for an easy day following your session. Remember that a guide or healer cannot fix anyone without a mutual effort. Do your best to carry forward and embody any instruction or advice that resonated as meaningful and true.
